Here you will find some information to prepare your visit to the Schleißheim Palaces if your mobility is restricted or if you are visually or hearing impaired.

Photography and filming

Taking pictures for private use (only with the usual hand-held cameras and without light and tripod etc.) does not require a permit. Photo and film shoots for further use as well as the flying of drones / multicopters are basically subject to approval and charges. Here you will find information on photography permits / film permits. We regret that wedding shoots inside the buildings are not possible.

We also provide you with image and film material that you may use free of charge on your own website under certain conditions; click here to download image material or download footage.

 

Bulky items

It is not possible to take larger bags (from 35 x 30 x 12 cm) and bulky items such as umbrellas, walking sticks, rucksacks, child carriers and the like into the palaces. Prams and child carriers can be left at the palace entrance.

Umbrella stands and lockers (deposit 1 euro) are available in limited numbers in the New Palace. Bulky objects and the contents of the lockers must be taken with you when leaving the palace. No liability can be accepted for items deposited in lockers or at the entrance.

 

Free buggy hire

A limited number of buggies can be borrowed free of charge for the duration of the tour of the New Palace.

 

Food and drinks

It is not permitted to bring food and drink into the museum areas. There are several restaurants in the vicinity.

 

Dogs

Dogs and other animals may not be taken into the palaces. The bringing of trained assistance dogs is permitted. We cannot offer supervision for animals brought along. Please keep dogs on an lead in the Court Garden.

During the summer season (April to mid-October) »La Gondola Barocca« offers exclusive gondola rides on the central canal of the court garden by reservation.
