By contrast with the ceiling frescoes devoted to military themes in the Elector's Apartment, the ceiling pictures in the Electress's Apartment depict more cheerful subjects.
The allegory of peace in the Antechamber is followed in the Audience Room by the allegory of harmony in the form of The Three Graces. The frescoes are also presented in a more modern style without the framework of illusionistic architecture. Two further tapestries from the Military Arts Series are shown in this room (cf. Room 17). The full-figure portraits of Elector Max Emanuel and his wife Therese Kunigunde are by the court artist Joseph Vivien (1717-19).
