Dutch Art Cabinet or Brown Cabinet in the Elector's Apartment

Picture: Dutch Art Cabinet

The room at the southern end of the enfilade was already an art cabinet at the time of Elector Max Emanuel, and the walls were originally almost entirely covered with numerous small genre paintings by 17th-century Dutch artists.

Included among the works in this room since the rearrangement of the baroque gallery in 2001 are 10 paintings by David Teniers the Younger and pictures by Adriaen Brouwer and Jan Brueghel the Younger.
